Colleen Wood DC
Dr. Colleen Wood grew up in Dighton Massachusetts. She spent her summers enjoying the beaches on Cape Cod. A devastating car accident in 1986 abruptly changed the course of her life and she eventually ended up in a chiropractic office after years of suffering from severe neck pain and migraine headaches. This is where she realized her desire to help others could be accomplished through the natural health care of chiropractic. She then began her undergraduate studies at Quincy College in Massachusetts and later attended Life University in Marietta, Georgia where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. After her graduation in 1997 she joined her husband, Dr. Kevin Wood in their family practice, Wood Family Chiropractic. Drs. Kevin and Colleen have two children, Conner and Clifford who also work in the practice.
Dr. Colleen has a deep love for family and enjoys helping young mothers with their newborns and children. She is proficient in utero-constraint technique, cranial adjusting, full spine technique, pediatric chiropractic, and pregnancy adjusting.
Her current clinical interests include pregnancy, infants and children, cranial adjusting, and family wellness care.
The Wood Family Chiropractic clinic also includes a highly trained and effective massage therapist to offer a full menu of services for optimum health, wellness, pain relief, and healing. See more about the massage therapist here.
David Williams DC
Dr. David Williams is originally from Pennsylvania and received his Bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College. While training for football for many years, he gained respect for the human body and all that it can do. This respect led him to pursue a career in Chiropractic. He moved to Georgia and received his Doctorate in Chiropractic degree from Life University in 1995.
After living and practicing Chiropractic in Pennsylvania and Virginia, Dr. Dave and his wife, Krista, settled in Woodstock, GA 15 years ago, and their daughter, Dakota, is currently a student at the University of Georgia.
One thing Dr. Dave has learned during his 20+ years in Chiropractic is that different clients prefer different adjusting techniques. This has fueled Dr. Dave to become a student of many different adjusting techniques and allowed him to adapt to the client rather than the client having to adapt to the technique. This ensures a very efficient and effective visit. Recently, Dr. Williams became a certified functional medicine practitioner. This focus on functional medicine allows him to help a wide array of people with ailments hindering their quality of life. In addition to being a chiropractor, Dr. Williams runs our functional medicine center and aides in our personal injury division.
